Design for stained glass inscribed, 'South of Chancel' depicting two window lights close together in the centre with two single lights on either side. The central lights show the Marys at the tomb guarded by an angel. The single lights depict angels holding scrolls. The designs are drawn in pen and ink and watercolour on a rectangular sheet of cream-coloured paper mounted on a rectangular sheet of card. There is a slight pencil sketch on the back.

Object history
This stained glass design (one of 32) was in the collection of the late B.D.H. Miller who bequeathed them to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Timothy Wilson, Keeper of Western Art, Ashmolean Museum gave them to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The designs were lot 320 in the sale of the contents of Towne Furlong Farm, Phillips, Oxford, sales catalogue, Thursday, 13 June 1991.
