Manuscript
ca. 1860 (made)
Place of origin |
Parabaik (folding manuscript)of 28 folds.
Drawings of different types of squares filled with cabalistic signs, with annotations and brief text. Still to be translated.
The scholar U Tet Htoot (d. 1981) thought that some of these squares could be related to those described in the plan of the palace grounds listed in IS 60 - 1938.This might have a bearing on a comment made by Mme J. Filliozat's of the Bibliotheque National, Paris in 1996 that "this is the second part - should have a companion ms."
Another scholar visiting from Burma thought it was an account of all the spirits of the dead who were buried alive at the time of construction to guard Mindon's new Palace at Mandalay into which he moved in 1857.
