Object history | Given by Fiona Christie Historical significance: The shoes are particularly interesting as they were made by a bootmaker which claimed to make footwear for King George V, for the Australian market. This shows how the reputation of British shoemaking and associations with royalty carried a certain cachet throughout the Commonwealth. |
