The ?silk embroidery filling stitch is laid and couched by a couched line. The broad outlines are worked in close herringbone with lines of stem stitches on both sides and the thin outlines are in stem stitch. The border lines are threads laid and couched down by short vertical couched lines. The metal thread embroidery is worked in surface darning on the diagonal.
