Cover of linen, embroidered with coloured silks. Turkish or Albanian. The embroidery is worked in diagonal filling stitch (also known as Algerian tent stitch) with satin stitch for the tendrils and parts of the stems. There is a line of close herringbone stitch above a line of a variation of four-sided stitch (Louisa Pesel called this four-sided stitch "square open hem") and a blanket-stitched rolled hem.
