A vase of this shape in 'Straw' coloured was included in the exhibition of Swedish industrial art, Dorland House, London, 1931, drawn from the larger exhibition held in Stockholm the previous year. This bowl was subsequently ordered by the Museum through Soane & Smith, Knightsbridge, distributing agents for the exhibition. It was especially made in 'Smoke' instead of 'Straw' colour although no reason is given for this in the Musuem records. Gerda Strömberg worked Eda between 1927-33, when she left with her husband the works manager, to found Strömbergshyttan
