Woman in a garden, picking grapes from a vine. She is wearing a pale grey robe anglaise, lined with pale green, over a petticoat of the pale green, with a sheer muslin apron over the petticoat. The woman is in profile, slightly turned away to show the back of the bodice, and is carrying a large basket over the arm concealed from view. In the middle distance is a man standing just outside a gate, partially concealed by the gate and the hedgerows, looking towards a dog, and in the distance is a country house atop a hill.
