Playbill for the Prince of Wales Theatre, Broad Street, Birmingham, Saturday 26 October 1865, advertising the 'last night of the great actress' Miss Avonia Jones of the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, in the title role of Medea, with Henry Irving as Jason, followed by H.J. Byron's burlesque The Bride of Abydos, or, the Prince, the Pirate and the Pearl. The evening concluded with a new grand ballet featuring Mr. John Lauri, and in which th skater Mr Jackson Haines gave an imitation of Lord Dundready on Skates.
