Gallery label
Jules Barbe was an independent decorator of French origin who worked exclusively for Webb's until 1901, afterwards working on his own account, and also for Stuart's. Only three signed pieces by him are known. The Jug and goblet with fish decoration shown on the same shelf are probably also designed and decorated by him (see label number 9286).
