Object history | John Harrison commissioned Lewis Nockalls Cottingham (1787-1847) to design a country house for him in a Gothic manner. He also asked him to provide suitable pieces of furniture for it. The house, Snelston Hall in Derbyshire, was built in 1827-8 and demolished in 1951. |
