Object history | This set design by Michael Warre is part of an extensive collection of designs purchased by the Theatre Museum directly from the artist Alex Stone in 1994. The design was executed for a production of George Bernard Shaw's play Saint Joan, performed by the Old Vic Company at the New Theatre, December 3rd 1947. The production was directed by John Burrell; and the costumes were designed by Alix Stone. The cast included Celia Johnson as Joan. |
