Embroidered cushion cover, entitled 'Hands across the Sea' by Lilian Dring, British, 1941
Physical description
Cushion cover with appliqued squares of wool, embroidered with abstract motifs in cream, pink, blue and brown with appliqued ribbon, braid and sequins. In the centre of the cushion is a pair of outstretched arms with hands clasped.
