Object history | Previously the Engel Collection Historical significance: Such bells were presented as an act of merit to a pagoda and they are seen suspended around the eaves of the image house. Purchase (Engel Collection). This acquisition information reflects that found in the Museum records (Asia Department registers and/or Central Inventory) as part of a 2023 provenance research project. |
