Object history
Dolin devised the solo to Rimsky-Korsakov's Hymn to the Sun ca. 1922, his first dance creation, which he continued to perform throughout his career.
The inscription is probably to the dancer Prudence Hyman who appeared in several of the concert groups and companies organised by Dolin. One such group was on tour in England, including appearances in Felixstowe, in 1932.
The print came to the Museum as part of the Cyril Beaumont Bequest.
