BONHEUR DU JOUR ENGLISH; dated 1794 Mahogany, ornamented with Wedgwood plaques Signed Seddon & Co., and dated 1794. Seddons were the largest London cabinet-making enterprise in the late eighteenth century, but relatively few other documented pieces by them are known. Purchased by the Brigadier Clark Fund through the National Art-Collections Fund.(pre October 2000)
