Design for a ladies skirt and top ensemble by Oleg Cassini, 1988. The top and skirt are embellished with crystal beads. The broad-shouldered round-necked top is defined at the waist with a belt.
After studying art under Giorgio di Chirico, Paris-born Cassini briefly worked for Jean Patou before joining Paramount Pictures as costume designer. However, it is his long-standing association with Jacqueline Kennedy that propelled him to international fame.
