Marks and inscriptions
Inscribed in ink: 'Canterbury No. 2. This is the 1st sketch sent in. Approved by the Dean but strongly disapproved by the Committee in spite of the fact that it had been shown, discussed and the explanatory notes red by the relatives of the late Canon Ellisore and approved cordially and even enthusiastically by them as exactly expressing their Father's own view of the subject'. A similar inscription on E.35-1974 has been cut off.
