'the filling in of these seeds with another colour is a suggestion of what to avoid. They might be composed of crossed threads of two kinds of yellow. But they must be kept nearly the same colour as the birds'. Signed 'CFA Voysey / 6 Carlton Hill / NW' and dated 'December 1897'
