Steel-faced copperplate(?) Ex Libris bookplate with Caesar Litton Falkiner's coat of arms. Rectangular design, showing in the centre: an escutcheon (shield) bearing three birds and a star; a helm (helmet) with acanthus leaves flowing from it and a pair of wings attached to the crown.; a smaller pair of wings, attached to a sphere with a star motif, hanging upside-down from a rope; at the bottom the motto FORTUNA FAVENTE lettered across a banner. This central design framed by a formal decorative border, lettered across the top EX LIBRIS : and across the bottom CAESAR-LITTON-FALKINER-.
