This book cover shows how the line block process handles designs that combine lines with blocks of colour. Each colour needed a different zinc plate and careful placement (registration) to ensure the fine white lines defining the faces joined up. The colours overlap slightly where they meet. The fine black line extends from the lettering to join the imagery, uniting text and image.(August 2019)
