The following description has been transcribed from the original accession record of 1946: Gate-Leg table. Turned mahogany. Plain rectangular top with a leaf at each side. Four slender turned legs; a tapering portion above a square knob, and a baluster below, with shaped feet. Side stretchers with shaped centres between square knobs. Plain shaped end stretchers. Each leaf is supported by a hinged gate-leg of similar form to the main legs.
