Animation Cel
1980 (made)
Artist/Maker |
Animation cel, drawn with poster colour and black ink on an acetate sheet. Part of a sequence for a commercial for 'Trebor Dandies' sweets, inscribed with sequence number. The cel depicts a comical character, a man dressed as if he is on his way to work, in a grey suit and tie and a matching hat, which he is clutching above his head. He has been reading a copy of the 'Daily Excess' newspaper which has been flung in the air in panic. His eyeballs have shot out from his face, only held back by the stretched arms of his glasses; his jaw has dropped in comic terror and his tongue has wiggled out of his mouth as if he is shrieking.
