On stage scene with curtain down with performers in costumes of all historical periods and Harlequinade and 'Big Head' pantomime costumes and in the centre two dancers peeping through the curtain; to the left, a gentleman in street clothes talking to an actress wearing period dress. On the back of the flats are lamps with naked flames. Titled: "Behind the Scenes". Etching published H Bailliere, 1840.
