Poured wax doll and three soft toy animals made and dressed by the maker, based on characters from the children's series 'Winnie-the-Pooh'.
Christopher Robin has wax shoulders, head and lower arms and legs, with stuffed cloth toddler body. The head has glass eyes inserted into the wax, blond human hair and eyelashes inserted into the wax. The doll was dressed by the maker in a white sleeveless cotton vest; blue silk short trousers with hook and eye at waist, and front trimmed on leg bottoms; a smocked coat of white cotton, back fastening with 2 pearlized buttons; yoke, boxed collar and cuffs embroidered with blue cotton; pair of white socks; pair of black leather strapped shoes.
Pooh is a teddy bear of beige velvet with black wool embroidered facial features; legs sewn in place, but the arms are jointed.
Eeyore is a soft toy, dark grey flannel, the ears are lined with beige felt. The facial features, mane and tail end are of black wool, the tail is attached with a thumb tack. The figure is formed over a padded wire frame.
Piglet is a soft toy, a pink cotton body and limbs with eyes marked with black ink. The body covered with a brown and white striped cloth; around the neck is a scarf made from brown nylon tights. Attached to right hand is a block of wood bound with white tape.
