Described by Harry Powell in his notebooks as 'cut with lotus decoration from a blue-glazed stone vase in British Museum' but this note is accompanied by a photograph of a golden cup found at Bubabastis which is clearly the source for this glass. Harry Powell made a series of studies of historic glass, ceramics and metalwork which he then used as sources for new Whitefriars production
