Historical significance: The licence plate indicates the date 1976
Historical context
Britains Ltd began producing plastic toys, both soldier and not soldier, in the 1950s but when the health and safety laws were changed in 1964, the company ceased making die cast leads ones and full production of plastic models began in 1966. Many of the farm animals included in this set were copyrighted in the early 1970s.
