Pictorial and typographic colour lithograph poster featuring images of characters and scenes from the play, A Cigarette Maker's Romance. Top left, within a circular border, is an image of Count Skariatine, below which is the interior scene 'Arrival of the Count's friends', within an oblong border. Below, left, is a scene of two lovers - he sitting, she kneeling - within a circular border; centre, the lovers standing - him putting a cape around her shoulders, and right, two male characters in a rectangular border with the caption 'We don't know your name'. Each border is a nicotene brown colour. A burning cigtarette is a feature of the design, bottom centre, and from it wafts curls of cigarette smoke which rise through the poster to the top, where yellow lettering edged in white gives the title of the play. Above, in black lettering, are the details of the venue and date: Theatre and Opera House Richmond Monday Dec 16. Six nights at 7.45 and Matinee, Thursday at 2.30
