| Gallery label | Keith Day Pearce Murray (1891-1981) a New Zealander, trained as an architect. During the 1930s when architectural commissions were scarce he made designs for Stevens & Williams glass (from 1932) Wedgwood ceramics (from 1933) and Mappin & Webb silver (from 1934). He acknowledged his debt to Swedish glass engraving which he saw at the international exhibition held in Paris in 1925 and the Exhibition of Swedish Industrial Art held at Dorland House, London, 1931 |
