Brief description | Wine-glass cooler or finger-bowl, England (Bristol), made by Isaac Jacobs and probably gilded in his factory, 1796-1820 |

Marks and inscriptions | Inscribed 'I Jacobs Bristol' (gilt) (makers's mark) |
Gallery label | Signed 'I Jacobs Bristol' in gold and decorated with a key pattern. There seem to be no black bottles with this seal. A globular bottle glass tankard excavated in Bedfordshire and now at the Fitzwilliam Museum seems similar enough to suggest a South Eastern bottle house for these mugs. |
Credit line | Given by Mr. J. L. Brodie |
Production | Made by Issac Jacobs and probably gilded in his factory, the Non-Such Flint Glass Manufactory, Bristol. |
