Chelsea Bows

Furnishing Fabric
1985 (manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

The fabric is divided length-wise by the parallel-running depictions of two strands of white and blue fabric with red roses. Each strand is tied with large red and white bows. Alternating with these two strands are narrower blue ribbons which are intertwined with flower garlands. These ribbons are the same as on T.944-2000. The background is dark grey with narrow grey stips. There are several small holes towards the top edge.
Both selvedges are preserved and contain the following printed text: ' CHELSEA BOWS From the Collection FABRIC ON FABRIC By Warner Copyright (c) MCMLXXXV By Warner & Sons Limited '. The bottom edge of the length is turned over and fixed with some double sided tape, which has stained the fabric.
