Box, circular, of shallow form with vertical sides angled in sharply below to a spreading foot, the matching cover also straight-sided but with a narrower sloping band with grooved edges meeting the almost flat top on which is a flattened knob handle rising to a point. On the lower part an unglazed sloping flange accommodates the cover and turns inwards to form a glazed band with delicately-upturned lip. The footring is broad and flat, with a bevelled edge; shallow recessed base.

Physical description
Box, circular, of shallow form with vertical sides angled in sharply below to a spreading foot, the matching cover also straight-sided but with a narrower sloping band with grooved edges meeting the almost flat top on which is a flattened knob handle rising to a point.
