Object history
Commissioned by Mrs Eugénie Niarchos for the yacht Créole, hence the yacht in the middle. The Niarchos's commissioned two different designs from Pucci and this scarf came in a pink and blue colourway. If one went for a cruise on the yacht, Mrs Niarchos came and offered one at the end of the cruise. This one was received in 1969 by Lisa Trypanis.

Historical significance: Example of Pucci's prints based on heraldic banners and colours (lime, mauve) which became the colours of the decade. Pucci's prints are said to be classic symbols of the late 1950s and early 1960s and are now collector's items.
