The teapot small and rounded, with hollow handle on side of pot and flower-shaped gilded knob on lid, and unglazed on base with roundel of turned clay visible. Covered with a violet glaze, over which a design of dragons pursuing flaming pearls among clouds is inlaid in silver. The rim and spout are gilt.
