Object history | The bottle belonged to the vendor's father who was curator of the Exeter Museum. Pasted on it is an old hand-written label reading: "Crackle pottery vase from a tomb Hué, Annam (1926 W.P. Lowe). XVth century, Ming dynasty." The vendor stated that the piece was brought to England from Annam (Vietnam) and given to her father by Mr. Willoughby Lowe, the archaeologist and explorer. |
