Jarlet, ovoid with eight concave sides and short tapering neck, having two tubular lugs at the shoulder. Flat base, moulded in which is a Chinese character perhaps 'ping', meaning 'ordinary'. Well painted in dark purplish-blue with a spray of blackberry lily on three of the eight sides.

The group of objects (FE.3 to 105-1975) were all acquired by Sir John Addis during his stay in Manila as British Ambassador, ca. 1965-70, and are purportedly from excavations there.
