Porcelain teapot of globular six-lobed shape, with short neck and spreading foot similarly lobed, and with straight rising spout and loop handle; shallow domed lid with knob handle. The surface is painted in polychrome enamels with the crest ' A lion passant gardant sable' in black, grey and white enamels with red tongue, flanked by sprays of peony-like flowers at the sides; round the shoulder a band of floral scrollwork in gold and red with pendant lappets. The lid has floral scrollwor in red, gold and black.

The enamel decoration was possibly added in Europe.
