This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project. Formerly at Burghley House. Bought by Mr. Salting at the Marquess of Exeter's sale at Christie's, 7 June 1888, for 14 guineas. Lot no. 15. |
