Dish with rounded cavetto and canted rim; low wedge-like foot. On the base are marks of three firing spurs; rather thick, musliny glaze with a distinctly greenish tinge. The designs are painted partly in a purplish-grey underglaze blue with additions in two tones of green, red, yellow and brownish aubergine enamels, also gilding. In the centre is an urn on a stand containing a peony flanked by two vases with chrysanthemums and asters, and framed by a border in which two phoenixes appear among peony and chrysanthemum growing on rocks. The exterior is plain.
