A rectangular dish with sloping sides, hand-shaped, the base flat. Hard light-buff earthenware, rather heavily potted, and covered with a crazed lead-glaze of slightly greenish cast. Painted with a spray of bamboo rising from the left, with inscription of seven characters to the right followed by the signature 'Kenzan' and a red seal. The longer sides have borders of a formal floral motif and the shorter sides a design resembling marbling; firing marks on the glazed base.
