Dish of porcelain. Rim scalloped with diagonal ribs, with a brown glaze at the edge. Within a red key-pattern border, two quails are painted in red, one walking left, the other sitting full face. Sprays of leaves and grass grow over them from the right, painted in black, blue, green, yellow and manganese purple. On the exterior, joined sprays painted in underglaze blue round the rim.
