Bust of Ayatollah Khomeini, moulded, with hand-finished details. Depicts the head and shoulders of the Ayatollah in blue priest's robe and black turban, looking straight ahead with an intent stare. With black, white and blue glazes, and the addition of overglaze flesh-colour for the face, and various black, red and yellow details. On the front of the base is an inscription in Farsi (Persian) 'Islamic Republic of Iran'.
