Poster on gloss finish card featuring photography by Hugo Glendinning and Joan Marcus of the three characters in Art against a white background, each as artists involved in 'painting by numbers'. George Wendt as Yvan is pnl the right, kneeling, painting Joe Morton as Serge, who in turn is painting Judd Hirsch as Marc. George Wendt is a full colour image, but Joe Morton and Judd Hirsch are represented partly as outline shapes, complete with numbers, ready for colouring in. Black lettering above the image says 'Best play' and 'Best comedy' and 'Direct from Broadway. Four week season until 25th July' and below, the New York Times quote: 'This Trio Soars!' with the cast names, credits and the name of the theatre in black and grey lettering.

Featuring the Broadway cast of Judd Hirsch as Marc; Joe Morton as Serge and George Wendt as Yvan, who appeared together from 29 June 1999 until 25 July 1999. The play was translated by Christopher Hampton; directed by Matthew Warchus; designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting by Hugh Vanstone and music by Gary Yershon. Art originally opened in London at Wyndham's Theatre 4 October 1996, with Albert Finney, Tom Courtney and Ken Stott as Marc, Serge and Yvan. |
