Physical description | Squared box and lid with an internal tray, decorated on the outside with flower heads among stylised scrolls and grasshoppers, in yamimaki-e ('dark sprinkled picture') lacquer and metal cloisons filled with gold, red and silver lacquer on a black lacquer ground. Interior and underside of black lacquer. |
