Handkerchief of pineapple fibre, with white cotton embroidery and drawn work. The middle is plain except for the initials 'J.Y. de M'. There is an inner border of rose stems tied by ribbons. The space beyond is closely covered with small dots, and along the scalloped edge is a repeating leaf and plant pattern.
