Court robe for a child prince, made of dark blue satin and embroidered in coloured silks and gold thread. The embroidery makes use of couched work, split stitch, satin stitch and stem stitch. It shows five-clawed dragons, cloud forms, bats, flaming millet seeds, water weeds and the sea and mountains round the center bodice and hem. The robe is trimmed round the side opening, hem, cuffs and waist band with purple and gilt paper tissue. The garment has shaped sleeves with embroidered cuffs and a pleated skirt. At the waist on the right side is a small flap embroidered with a dragon motif. The robe is lined with pale blue damask.
