Carpet, hand-knotted in woollen pile on cotton warp. The field has at each end a small vase from which springs a tree from covering most of the ground. The main border strip has a conventional Chinese wave-pattern. The ground of the field is dark blue, the other colours being chiefly red and green. There is a small panel with an inscription at the lower left hand corner.
