Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. 1880 Register entry: 'BOX No. 88. 6200-6251. GOLD AND SILVER TISSUE RIBBONS, Heavy trimmings, fringes, and tinsel, ribbon embroidered with beetle wings'. Slip book entry 619: 'Three pieces Ribbon / Delhi / 1855 / Purchased / Two of the pieces one half silver and half gold in width for trimming costume'.
