Narasimha sits cross-legged, using his claws on his upper arms to disembowel the demon king Hiranyakashipu, who lies supine across on his knees. Thge avator of Vishnu is shown with eight arms. The upper arms hold a chakra and conch, as usual, the other four appear to hold a sword, shield, and a bow. He sits on a shallow lotus pedestal on a plain square base which may have slotted into a larger shrine.
