This sculpture in the round depicts the god, Indra, sitting enshrined against an architectonic back-slab on top of the four-tusked elephant, Airavata. They are mounted on an oval plinth which is chiselled with a decorative leaf-like band of decoration in the same manner as the details of the elephant and its trappings with lines and cross-hatchings chiselled into the surface of the stone. Indra, too has some cross-hatched chiselled detailing. He holds a vajra (thunderbolt) in his left hand.
