This Costume design by Anthony Holland is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 1996. The design was executed for a production of Agatha Christie's play "A Murder is Announced" at the Vaudeville Theatre, September 21st, 1977. The play was adapted by Leslie Darbon, and directed by Robert Chetwyn. The production was revived again at the Vaudeville Theatre on March 15th, 1979. For the revival the production was directed by Charles Hickman, and Miss Marple was played by Joyce Carey.
